INTERVIEW EXCLUSIVE: Kendra Wilkinson's Wedding Planner Talks to Us About How She Made the Bride's Fairytale Wedding Dreams Come True

Kendra_hank_Us_WeeklyAs you know Kendra Wilkinson, former star of Girls Next Door, married NFL star Hank Baskett on Saturday during a dreamy fairytale ceremony at the infamous playboy mansion, where she once lived with ex Hugh Hefner. Her official wedding photos hit stands today in the new issue of Us Weekly, and we got the chance to chat with her wedding planner Nicole Hirsty, of Cobalt Events. She dishes on the brides not-so-demanding ways, her first dance romance, and more. Here's the interview:

CWB: Rumor has it, Kendra was quite the bridezilla. True or false?
Hirsty: No, she really wasn’t. [Kendra and Hank] were absolutely wonderful. They were fun, and just really involved and very gracious. All she asked was for the girls to wear silver shoes -- that's it. She left the rest up to them. She was very concerned with her bridesmaids. She wanted them to feel good and look beautiful in their dresses.

And the Bride Wore...Bling! (Kendra Wilkinson Says I Do!)

Kendra_GettyImages_85808326_denise_truscelloFormer Girl Next Door Kendra Wilkinson married "man of her dreams" NFL star Hank Baskett on Saturday at the famous Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, her old residence.

The bride and groom made it official in front of 500 guests, including her ex Hugh Hefner, and former co-stars Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison. Wilkinson, 24, walked down the aisle in a custom ballroom gown with a corseted waist that she designed herself, and donned more than $100,000 worth of platinum and diamond Michael Barin bling. Her bridesmaids wore lilac cocktail dresses and held white and purple bouquets. Though Hefner was originally supposed to walk the beaming bride down the aisle, Wilkinson decided to give her brother Colin the honor instead. (Good call Kendra!). We're going to be chatting with her wedding planner on Wednesday, so stay tuned for more details on this much-discussed Hollywood wedding..

Oh, and if you can't wait until Wednesday's Us Weekly exlcusive to see photos from their wedding, you can take a sneak peek at some pretty bad quality aerial shots here.

Britney Spears Has a New Left-Hand Rock -- Is She Engaged?

BritneyspearsWe all know that Britney Spears hasn't had much luck in the love and marriage department (Google "K-Fed" for evidence!) but rumor has it she might be ready to try again. She was spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring while shopping with her new beau/agent, Jason Trawick. I have no ideas if there's any truth to this, since we all know Britney is full of surprises. But just in case, thought I'd let you know. I'm curious to see how this one unfolds. Best of luck to you Brit!

And the Dream Wedding Contest Winners Are…

Usweekly_dream

Van Ngo and Eric Oberly of Alexandria Virginia! After millions of votes, the winners have been chosen – and boy are they deserving! (Have you read their story?) We asked them to come to New York City to stay at the fabulous W hotel in Union Square. They thought they were just coming to be interviewed by Inside Edition because they were in the top three. Instead, we had something (much!) better in mind: We teamed up with our friends at Us Weekly and planned a big surprise announcement. Check out the video of their reaction -– so cute! (Oh, and you’ll see me in the green dress congratulating the pair up close and personal!)

Rachel Hunter Dumped Months Before Her Wedding (by E-mail!)

RachelhunterpressshotLadies, remember the infamous “post-it break up” on Sex and the City that left Carrie Bradshaw wishing she’d never met Jack Burger? I think this tops that, big-time! Word broke today that model Rachel Hunter was dumped over e-mail just two-months before her August 14th wedding to Los Angeles Kings star Jarett Stoll was supposed to take place.

As the story goes, the groom-to-be sent an e-mail blast out to their guests calling saying the wedding was canceled. Sadly, Rachel got the bad news in her inbox too. Oh, this is sad. I don’t know what else to say. We may never know what happened between them exactly, but judging from the fact that the pair recently bought a $2.2 million home in Hermosa Beach last year and we’re talking kids, this guy has some explaining to do. A friend told The Sun that Rachel is “absolutely devastated” and the gown, venue, and guest list were already in place. And, I’m sure the irony doesn’t help: A hockey player got cold feet? Oh boy!

Thoughts ladies?

Finalists Launch “We’re No Brangelina or Speidi” Video to Win Votes

Usweeklyvideo

As you know, right now, there are 10 couples battling to win the wedding of their dreams care of WeddingChannel.com and Us Weekly. The couple with the most votes has the best chance of being selected, so with the voting period winding down our finalists are getting pretty crafty with their self-run PR campaigns.

Heather Cowan and Shaw Jones have made a mockumentary-style video of what their wedding would be like if they don’t win. It’s hilarious, and a must see! Plus, look out for the ring bearers (their adorable two dogs) to totally steal a scene or two.

D.C. Brides Hoping for Surprise Appearance from the Obamas at their Weddings

Obama_gcs_84383567_300Way back when our Commander-in-Chief was still referred to as “President Elect” we told all you patriotic brides out there exactly how to invite President Barack Obama to your wedding. Apparently you did just that – and told a friend, or two. According to a recent article on Politico.com, the White House has received thousands of wedding invitations for the Obamas, and many of the brides (especially locally) are kinda-sorta-hoping they might really come.

“It doesn’t even faze us when we see the Obamas on a guest list these days,” District Weddings blog editor and event planner Devon Pearce told the site. “We don’t even wonder why they’re doing it. It’s just another invitation to send.”

That is unless of course you’re banking on the fact that the Obamas are probably the most down-to-earth duo to ever call the White House home.

Pearce says that she and other local planners refuse to tell their clients it’s an impossibility for that very fact.

“There’s a lot of glamour surrounding the Obamas,” she said. “And they do socialize a lot and have this habit of randomly showing up to places where everyday people are.”

Wouldn’t that be one heck of a surprise wedding present? I wouldn’t put it past this dynamic duo. Do you think they’d ever show? Oh, and did you invite them to your wedding? Have you gotten anything back yet? (You were supposed to get signed response at the least.) Talk to me gals!

Courteney Cox Tweets About 10-Year Anniversary

CortneycoxfamilyIn case you hadn't noticed, the entire world is now officially on Twitter. This means your pesky neighbor, your boss, and your 12-year-old nephew too. That's right, they're all sharing TMI with hundreds (or thousands) of followers throughout the day in 140 characters or less. But I'm not complaining because thanks to the massive amount of A-listers on Twitter, it's never been easier to get up to the minute celebrity news -- from the source. Which is why when I logged on today (follow the edit team at WeddingChannel.com/Twitter) and browsed my feed, I learned that today is Courtney Cox and David Arquette's 10-year wedding anniversary. Courteney twittered a special thanks to fans for "all the happy anniversary wishes." Such a beautiful thing -- congrats you two! Oh, and speaking of Twitter, I'm noticing lots more bridal-vendor networking opps on the social networking site. Hey brides, are you on there? If so, how are you using Twitter to help with wedding planning? Or are you? Just curious.
